Dear Grease For Good

I cannot fully express my appreciation for your donation to my project. I’m so happy that you share my vision for my students. My students learn through experiences and connections to real life. This project you helped fund will provide documentation of experiences, applications to practice skills and explore new ideas, and a means for data collection and instruction. The iPad Mini will be an extremely useful technological tool for my classroom!

Thank you for your support!

With gratitude,
Mrs. Wright

Chairs for Mrs.Coward’s Kindergarten Class

Original Post

Dear GreaseForGood.com,

We just came in from lunch to an awesome email. Thank you for helping us get the rest of our stools. That noise you just heard was my class cheering when I told them the great news! (Of course my kindergarten students think we will have them tomorrow.)

We have only had the other stools for a few days but we love them. The students have been taking turns using them during our morning circle time and during what we call “table work.” all of my students have enjoyed using them. It will be nice for each students to have one to use.

Thank you again for helping my students.

With heartfelt thanks,

With gratitude,
Ms. Coward

Dear GreaseForGood.com,

Thank you for being a part of the wonderful transformation of my classroom. Some of the students are shunned by peers and staff because of their extreme behavior. We are already using them to learn sharing skills and cooperation by working together with these special new resources. Their eyes popped out of their heads when they saw such amazing Legos. Some of the students that might refuse to do math, are all of a sudden motivated to use these math Legos. I look forward to using the Story Tales to learn about parts of a story and then writing about it.

You have helped support public education which is in dire need of financial and emotional support and we appreciate this from the bottom of our hearts to the tips of our busy fingers. Please know that your donation will impact current and future students for years to come.

A special shoutout to the Anonymous Donor match, Craig Newmark, Kindergarten Rocks and GreaseForGood.com. We truly appreciate your generosity and support.

Well, I have to go, “there is work to be done” with these hands on fun resources.

Dear GreaseForGood.com,

Hip, hip hooray! Now we have enough stools for everyone. Our circle is complete.

I have to admit that we are the envy of the other four kindergarten classes. They all love our new stools. We use them for our gathering spot for morning meeting and for story time. We have extra that we can move around the room wherever we want to. We love using as desks for writing and coloring.

One benefit is they are so lightweight that the students have no problem moving them around the classroom with ease. Did I mention they are stackable? This is another great feature for when we want to have them out of the way.

Thank you for helping us make our circle complete.

With gratitude,
Ms. Coward

Dear GreaseForGood.com,

Thank you so much for your generous donations toward our tablets. My students have begun to blossom into fluent readers and the technology will help prepare them for first grade.

I can’t wait to share the good news with my students. They will be thrilled to know they will now have a daily opportunity to use a tablet when before they were only able to use the computer once or twice a week. You have truly helped bring our class into the twenty-first century.

Dear GreaseForGood.com,

Thank you, thank you, thank you! Your gift is so critical to our school. I choose to work in a school where the need is great, but I can’t be a successful teacher without your help. It is so important to have quality equipment to support quality education.

You have touched my students lives in such a huge way by providing them with the markers, crayons, ink pens in red, black, and purple, desk lamp, trash bags, tissue, paper towels, hand sanitizer, binder taps, storage box, & foam dice which will give them the resources they need to have a fun and engaging learning environment. These items will also make a difference in keeping our classroom clean and safe.

Finally, I wish I could share with you the joy that my students expressed when I told them their project had been funded by such a generous group of people. They were overwhelmed with kind words of thank you and the smiles on their faces would have melted your hearts.

With gratitude,
Mr. Starling
